Just Some History...
In 1995 Angela opened up York House on Handsworth Road, over the years her business flourished and extended over to 22 staff including another salon. In 2005, Angela felt she needed to concentrate on raising her children so sold the business. She did however go into teaching beauty at a local college which kept her familair and up to date within the industry.
On 1st October 2019, Angela had the opportunity to buy back the business which had then been renamed to 'Salon 229'; she did this with the help of her daughter Lucy. They have worked together as a partnership ever since.

Owner - Level 4 qualified beauty therapist, laser technician, advanced electrolysist, nail technician
Angela York
After completing the level 4 beauty therapy course, Angela is qualified to remove skin lesions by advanced electrolysis or cryotherapy ie skin tags blemishes warts broken capillaries spider naevi cherry anginoma keratoses and many more.
She has a passion for enhancing clients nails and has specialised in many systems including silk and acrylic. Having qualified in the BIAB gel system she loves how it works with the natural nail. She is quite partial to doing nail art and a bit of glitter here and there!
Angela works Tuesday-thursday in the salon and rest of the days she's managing the business.
